The Old and New photo comparison

A Photo comparison – ANZAC place, 1960’s and 2019.

I’ve spent the last few years sorting my Grandfathers Kodak slides which date back to 1954. On a recent trip we had a stop in Brisbane where I was able to partially re-photograph the memorial at ANZAC square. By accessing the images on my server I could frame the image based on the photo only using my iPhone which was the only camera I had on me at the time. The original slide is probably late 50’s to mid 60’s.

Unfortunately I did not have the same lens so the frame doesn’t quite match, and as you can see from the shadows it was at a different time of the day too. By using Photoshop I was able to line the images up fairly closely to scale & crop them and finally save them off.

However you can clearly see the “then” and “now” by moving the slider from left to right.
